“By using tools of optics, representation and measurement in conjunction with machine learning and artificial intelligence, new investigative practices are redefining their own limits.

Through the examination of the contemporary conditions of production of knowledge and factual information, Anna Engelhardt, Francesco Sebregondi and Stefanos Levidis, in conversation with Zoé Samudzi, evoke the development of new investigative practices that are decentralized, contextual, locally anchored and often without a pre-existing space or forums to be heard or seen.

Navigating through different modes of witnessing, each practitioner questions types of responsibility and ethical responsibility in the production of images and the limits of digital images and modeling in producing and telling truth.”
