Police shooting in Stains: two officers found guilty
The investigation carried out by Index in 2022 into the shooting by two BAC (Anti-Crime Brigade) officers in Stains — which seriously injured Nordine A. and Merryl B. in 2021 — was shown in court during the trial of the officers, held three years after the events, at the Bobigny courthouse.
On Thursday, October 7, the Bobigny court delivered its verdict in the case of the Stains BAC officers.
The two police officers who shot Nordine A. and Merryl B. were convicted as follows:
- Four-year suspended prison sentence
- Permanent ban from serving in the national police force
This case, for which we produced a detailed 3D reconstruction, relied in particular on a key witness video.
Despite the efforts of the officers’ lawyer to have it excluded, our reconstruction was shown during the October 4, 2024 hearing and served as a basis for discussion during the trial.
