LBD shooting of Adnane Nassih : the CCTV images that incriminate the police

On February 22, 2020 in Brunoy (Essonne), Adnane Nassih, 19, was blinded in one eye by a rubber bullet shooting in the face. In partnership with Libération, we publish an analysis and a 3D reconstruction of the circumstances of the incident from unpublished CCTV images. On February 22, 2020 at 11:17 p.m., Adnane Nassih, 19, was seriously injured in the face by an LBD shot fired by police officer Yann T., during an operation by the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) in the Hautes-Mardelles district of Brunoy. Despite an emergency operation, Adnane Nassih’s injuries are severe: facial fractures, risk to his brain and loss of his right eye.

Revealed by Liberation and analysed by INDEX, the CCTV images of the scene show that Adnane Nassih was mutilated while running, with his back to the policeman. The 3D reconstruction from the video recording also shows that Adnane Nassih presented no danger to the police, contrary to Yann T.’s assertions.
